Our team from Cardwell has been busy, among other things making our bio-sand filters. These guys did lots of research and know what they are doing! We have one Tanzanian who works for Mavuno who has gotten good at these as well. So they have been pouring two filters a day and today loaded them up to take some to a couple of our off-campus families.
If you are interested in what exactly these are, read here. Our staff members will all have one, and we are hoping to provide one to each of our off-campus families as well. We love ours, and the process of obtaining clean water has been significantly improved I keep thinking, if we enjoy it this much, and it makes a difference for us even though we have a water filter, imagine what it will mean to these families who either boil ever drop or are sick very often!
